Garment Reconstruction & Sustainable Design
This project focuses on the reconstruction of existing garments through a design process rooted in sustainability, material awareness, and refined craftsmanship. Rather than producing new textiles, the work challenges how garments can be re-cut, refined, and reimagined into elevated, modern silhouettes with a strong visual identity. Each piece is carefully deconstructed and rebuilt with close attention to fabric behavior, structural integrity, and form—ensuring every outcome feels intentional, functional, and considered.
Development is guided by a disciplined, hands-on approach, incorporating distressing, direct-to-film applications, vinyl, screen printing, and hand-cut methods to introduce depth, character, and a controlled, premium finish. Each garment is then presented through professional, curated photoshoots that highlight texture, composition, and structure, reinforcing the design narrative through strong visual storytelling.
At its core, the project extends the lifecycle of materials, reduces unnecessary waste, and supports circular design practices. What began as a focused study has evolved into an ongoing creative process—one that continues to refine my approach to construction, material use, and sustainable design.
