Jonathan Barnbrook — Designer
This project began with an assignment to study a list of influential designers and select one whose work resonated with us. I chose London-based designer Jonathan Barnbrook, whose bold approach to typography and socially driven design deeply inspired me. The project combined hand-crafted elements through a rolling booklet and a companion poster, blending tactile skills with conceptual design.
The following year, I reached out to several professional designers for interviews, and Mr. Barnbrook graciously responded. Despite the eight-hour time difference between Nashville and London, he generously shared his time and insight. Our conversation emphasized the value of open-mindedness and the importance of exploring disciplines beyond design. His kindness left as much of an impact as his powerful body of work.
